I preach often about being selfless and the giving of time, talent and resources. It is difficult to be selfless. The natural instinct of our human condition is about satisfying our own wants and needs. As I read about the lives of the saints, I am reminded of just how selfish I am. I want to watch my television show and I'll leave the room if I'm not able to. I go to great lengths to get out of the things that I don't want to do. I do what I want to do when I want to do it. Its embarrassing. "Take up your cross, deny yourself and follow me." Take up your pain, sorrow and suffering. Take up the disappointment, times you felt rejected, abandoned and alone. Nail all of it to the cross, deny yourself and follow me. Separate the will of the flesh from the will of the spirit. The flesh won't live forever, the spirit will.

About the Book
We constantly need to be reminded of God’s presence. This rebellious flesh wants everything in its path. My hope is that this short devotional will do just that so that the spirit would be nourished.
About the Author
As with my call to ministry, I didn't have the credentials to do it, I felt that God was leading me put together this book of devotions. I hope this book adds to your spiritual journey.
