As morning came, the soft rays of spring warmed my feathered face. I stretched my weathered wings from yesterday’s storm. As I peeped through my wings, each feather fancily fashioned, I greeted the morning dew with a bow and a tip of my hat.
“Good morning dew! And good morning leaf! How ‘dew’ you do? Ha Ha! I am Monsieur Cardinal Chirpingham. ”As if returning the salutation with a bow and a wave, Mr. Leaf greeted his new friend with a shower of dew.

About the Book
Feathered Friendship explores the joys of friendship by providing playful scenes through the vantage point of two kindhearted birds. A storm has ended and Monsieur Cardinal Chirpingham is eager to approach the day with his friends. After chatting with Madame Morningsong, they decide to explore the playground. To their surprise, they encounter their dearest friend in need and provide her with cheer.
About the Author
Katy Rae Mackey is a mother of two in addition to working with children and teens in the field of special education. While working for a residential summer camp for children and teens with disabilities, she acquired her Master of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy. She supports children and teens on a daily basis, so they can participate in school and at home to the fullest.
