Ode to Grace a Moment of Prayer

There are so many things to pray about here are
some examples of what you might be wishing to pray on:

Prayer of Joy In the Moment

Loving God:
How many times we miss opportunities to live in joy. When we look
around us what are we looking at? Are we seeing – a beautiful place to live,
the abundance of food, freedom to walk out into the day and
go where we wish to go?
Certainly these things should bring us joy. Help us not to be diverted
by the daily pressures so as to overlook what is also right in front of us.
There are joys big and small which are present all around us just
waiting for us to discover them and to enjoy them. They are reminders
of Your love.
We thank You for the joy and we pray to You silently now with our
appreciation and our concerns.

Prayer of Solitude & Appreciation

Loving God:
We stand before You in deep humility.
We praise Your holy name and give thanks to You for the gift of
our lives and the many blessings You have placed in them.
You have given us so much.
In the quiet times of solitude when we commune with You,
we reflect on these blessings.
And when we do so, as in this time as we stand here now,
we confess that we are not always totally appreciative.
We take so much for granted.
Yet, we do love You and we do honor You and truly wish
to spend more time with You.
Your perfect understanding already knows our hearts.
We are warmed by Your generosity. We feel Your
abiding love and know You are ever present in our lives.
Hallelujah Amen

Prayer of Trust

Heavenly Father,
May we trust You completely.
Guide us to sort out what is important
and unimportant in our lives.
Instill in us a resolve to spend
more time with You each day.
Ideally, time away from the
noise and distractions of this world.
A quiet time in which You will
enrich us with Your warmth and love.
If we listen, You will help us
crystallize a view of our lives
as You intend them to be
filled with contentment, prosperity and hope.

We are in such need during difficult times.
Left to our own devices,
we fret over the challenges
in our personal lives – sickness,
loved ones in distress, financial worries,
job insecurity or job loss, even death.

These challenges are real and we are in pain.
We know You will intercede when asked.
Therefore, Lord, we ask for Your intercession.
Please hear our prayers and envelop us in Your peace.

Prayer of Universal Truth

Magnificent God:
Looking up at the night sky, we reflect on the thought this universe in which we dwell could
be one of many universes. Just in our universe there are billions of galaxies. In the center of this vastness rests Your presence. You preside over all that is known and unknown. We look up into the night sky and see the beauty, the wonder of it all and yet we see so little. Let us fall on our knees and praise You for selecting us to be Your much loved children. Right in the center of this vastness rests our relationship with You. So honored are we. So privileged are we. All honor and glory
we give to Thee.
