SOMETHING OLD, SOMETHING NEW
“Now that I am old and gray, do not abandon me, O God. Let me proclaim your power to this new generation, your mighty miracles to all who come after me.” Psalm 71:18
Here you are, considering the dawn of a brand new year.
As you reflect on the previous year, do you find it to have been a year in which you recognized the goodness of God?
Was it a difficult year?
What about miracles? God’s miracles are always mighty, and often we fail to even recognize them all around us.
Looking back, can you see the mighty hand of God moving in your life and in the lives of those around you?
As you begin this year, I challenge you to do something new. Take the time to find and declare the mighty miracles of our Heavenly Father to those around you. Don’t keep Him to yourself.
Someone needs to hear the goodness of God today.
Psalm 96:2 tells us, “Sing to the Lord; praise his name. Each day proclaim the good news that he saves.”
This year, take your old self and let God do something beautiful and new in you.
