When offenses take place, the first response in the heart is to not trust. As we go through life and others offend and wound us, our distrust increases. To come into heaing, one must be willing to open the heart and trust again. Basic trust does not mean the "ability to believe another", but the ccapacity to hold the heart open to others and to life, especially when we cannot believe others intend well.1 Basic trust is the fundamental building block in all human relationships. We get true or false messages about ourselves from previous experiences. If our heart has not learned to trust, we may close our heart to God and others.2 Exekial 36:26-27 says, "And I will give you a new heart, I will give you new and right desires and put a new spirit within you. I will take out your stony hearts of sin and give you new hearts of love. And I wil put my Spirit within you so that you wil obey my laws and do whatever I command".

This workbook has been written to help individuals walk into healing when life has thrown them curveballs, and they have a desire to get their life back on track. The teaching will help you obtain all God has for you. Jesus promises in his Word that he will heal your heart and set you free. The workbook will show you the steps to obtain that healing.
About the Author
I am a licensed Christian counselor who has been in private practice for thirty three years. I received a Master of Art degree in Individual and Community Psychology from St. Martin’s University in 1988. I have worked extensively in the areas of Marriage and Family counseling, domestic violence, sexual abuse, and drug, alcohol and sexual addition. I have taught seminars regionally, nationally, and internationally. I developed and facilitated a comprehensive marriage program that has resulted in many individuals and marriages being healed.
