Really now, what is humor? For us Christians, it’s a mystery. What passes for the usual understanding of humor is all right, and so is fun, and so is playful mischief, and so is joviality and even hilarity. Humorous writers shouldn’t use such heavy words as Bible and joy. I hear what you are saying.
In the meantime, many people around us have become estranged from the Bible. They don’t know that this book shoots fireworks of humor into the air that come down like balls of joy.
