Waves of Comfort
When your heart is hurting, come,
Enjoy the holy presence of God’s Son.
The loving touch of the Holy Comforter
Will heal and fix your inner hurts.
When the world has walked heavily upon you and joy has fled,
Come, and allow the Comforter to show you how to forgive.
When your mind is confused and you do not know the way to go,
Come and allow the Word to guide - so you can in the Spirit flow.
I will fill your heart with gladness and your mind with truth and power.
I will fill your heart with love in the world’s most troubling hour.
Waves of comfort flow to you and through you to lift and to edify.
Waves of God’s goodness are your eternal supply.
Beauty for ashes, mourning is by joy replaced,
All is provided by God’s provision of grace.
Waves of God’s mercy flood the land,
Overflowing hearts and minds of those that seek to understand.
Great, abundant, heavy showers of love,
Come from the Lord above.
Whatever you need, and whatever you desire, well and fine
Will be provided in God’s time.
Come, and allow the sweet Spirit to touch
You in your deepest need with His waves of love.
2 Thessalonians 2:15-17
Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle. Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace, Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.

I remember as a young child standing in my room at my grandmother’s house, looking up to the heavens and saying, “God, if you are really there, why don’t you talk to me?” I listened, but I did not hear a thing.
Many years later, after I had asked Jesus to be my Lord and Savior and had invited Him into my heart, I heard God speak! I was sound asleep and I heard “God is Love; Jesus is forgiveness.” I woke up immediately. I was so excited - I knew it was God! I then woke my husband up and repeated the wonderful message God spoke to me (my husband surely thought I had gone crazy). I wrote it down in a little book. I was so thrilled… not only could I talk to God, but, God would speak to me!
Much later, after the Holy Spirit taught me to listen, I received this poem. It reminded me that when I was a child, I called out that I wanted to hear His voice. God had heard me! I just could not hear Him.
There was a small girl child with eyes open wide to see.
She called out to the heavens to a word from God receive.
She challenged me to listen and to speak to her clear,
However, she did not have a heart able to hear.
Many years went by and I called out to her many times.
One fine day, her heart with truth aligned,
It still took her a while to rest enough to hear my voice.
Now the little child can daily draw near so her heart can rejoice.
The Word says God knew me and loved me even in my mother’s womb. God knew me before He made the earth!
Psalms 139:13-14
For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb.
I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

This poem says God sees us as an unformed lump of clay. How majestic and unfathomable are His ways. God not only sees us before we are born, He sees us finished and as His bride!
God knew me as a little, troubled girl, and He heard my cry. He loved me before I loved Him. In looking back, I realize He constantly wooed and urged me to Him. God paved the way to the cross, where I would find salvation and would receive the Spirit of God within my heart. God still tirelessly teaches, leads, and guides as He molds and shapes me to be His perfect, without blemish, bride.
The Vessel
The Creator beheld the lump of clay, but saw the vessel within.
It was not just any vessel; it was to be made for Him.
Before it was, He knew exactly how it would be,
For He already had a plan that only He could see.
In fact, He saw it even before it was the lump of clay,
The idea was always in His heart, tucked away.
This vessel became tarnished and was taken from His grasp,
But the One that created all things paid the price He asked.
The vessel is made new and formed from within;
The reborn soul is molded and shaped by Him.
Oh, what a beautiful vessel made because of Christ.
He is the One that gave His own life.
When man allows God full control,
He is made into the most precious vessel,
That will carry the Word of God for another to hear,
That gives to his God all that is to him most dear.
This is the vessel chosen to hold Heaven’s wine.
This is the vessel that the Creator designed:
Beautiful, precious, valued so high that the angels strain to see
All that the Creator plans to pour through thee.
Great things are destined for every newborn life,
For they become the one that causes to the Father great delight!
2 Timothy 1:9
Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,
