Just over an hour later, the surgeon comes to our patient’s room to speak with her and her family about the results of the surgery. As the surgeon enters the room, the family cannot make out if the look on his face is one of joy or sadness but more like confusion. The surgeon begins by saying that he cannot really explain what he found when he did the surgery. “I have never seen anything like this before and I cannot explain it. I know that we were right to operate, you have six sonograms over the past month that all show the tumour and the continued growth of the tumour. However, when I opened your uterus to remove the tumour, there was nothing! Your uterus was healthy and there was no mass! I just cannot explain it.”

Sharyn Branson, originally from Western Canada, is married to Paul and they have two children, Noah and Samantha. Paul and Sharyn have been full time career missionaries since they were 27 years old and continue to serve God, in full time ministry, in the mountains of the Dominican Republic.
