The Bible says “In the beginning God created the heavens and earth”.
SO WHAT!
Why should I believe that?
Because my mother, grandmother, pastor, friends say so?
Because the person I am dating says so?
Why should I believe what some book I haven’t read says?
How do they know this is what happened?
Well,,, they don’t. But, you are reading this book. You obviously have an interest in the topic. Or maybe your parents/spouse/significant other are making you read this. Either way, welcome! I sincerely hope that you will read this book with a completely open mind. That was the last time you will read a Bible verse until the last pages.
I’m not going to quote the Bible or even discuss it yet. That’s the last thing we will do, literally. This is about looking at our Universe, Earth and life on it in a completely different way.
We have all questioned how we got here at some point. And it’s obvious that you have, since you are reading this book. No matter what the reason, it’s great that you are interested in learning about how this might actually be the answer. Hopefully, by the end you will have no doubts.
Let’s look at some common questions we all have on this subject?
What was the “Big Bang”?
How do I know if that really happened?
Which came first, the chicken or the egg?
Did we really start off as monkeys and become the humans that we are today?
If the universe has an end, what is on the other side?
Why can’t we figure this stuff out?
Is it possible that we were “created” by a higher power?
Why should I believe that God created this?
In this book, I’m going to lay out a lot of basic scientific facts about our universe, solar system, earth and life on it in a very unique way that will help you make a decision on your own. Without someone telling you just to believe it. This is not a science lesson. It’s putting very specific and undisputed facts of science, biology and astrology in to an order with a purpose to make the point. There is no speculation. There are no concepts to buy in to. There are no supporting Bible verses. This is all about you forming your own opinion, based on facts presented in a way you have never thought about as a whole.
Think about it. Our whole lives, we are told what to believe by those with their opinions. We are pounded on by people who say things like:
“The Bible says”…
“Look at God’s creations”…
“This can only be from God”…
You know the sayings that your parents, grandmother, pastor or friends tell you. But, why should you believe it just because they say so? Shouldn’t you be able to make your own choices as to why you do or don’t believe how you got here? Of course you should! We live in a free world that allows us to make choices based on our own ability to determine what is real or not.
With that said, this book is filled with real information you can use to decide if Creation is real. Not just Bible verses and complicated concepts from people with PhD’s in things you’ve never heard of. When you are done, you may decide you still don’t have enough evidence to believe it. Or, you may decide it’s just not real to you. No matter what you decide, you will have a new way of looking at it, which you have not had before.
The following chapters are filled with factual information about our existence, but formed together in a different way. I’m not going to talk about the Bible. I’m not going to say why the Big Bang or Evolution theories are wrong. I’m not going to dispute anything. I’m also not going to pound it in that you have to believe this is all from God. That is up to you and only you.
We are going to examine the incredibly complex, bizarre universe and world we live in with a consistent simple viewpoint;
How could all of this be the result of any random series of events?
There are far too many things that have to be exactly right for all of this to work. As you will see, too many things just don’t make sense for this all to be a result of random space dust exploding or any other “theory”.

Author Howard Mishne is a seasoned high school youth leader at a large church in the Detroit area. Between spending time with his wife, two grown children, and a busy career in insurance, he has been very active in high school ministries. Through leading small groups as well as three international mission trips, Howard has helped students build a relationship with God and Jesus.
