Third Time Was the Charm

I am going to switch gears right now and talk about my part in this failed relationship. We, as women, always make comments about how men treat us one way and change after they get us. Well, we as women need to realize that we do the same thing. We fix ourselves up because we want the man to become very attracted to us. We wear the hair, the make-up, the nice clothes, the nice shoes, just to turn their heads our direction. When we accomplish our goal to make them notice us, we start going above and beyond to make them like us even more.

We start cooking for them. We may even buy them gifts from time to time. We do things to make them feel like they are the most important man in the world to us. We do whatever it takes to get the proposal. Once we get the ring, we set the date, we have the wedding, we go on the honeymoon…and then we start our life together, as one!

In my case, I figured that my husband loved me and that’s was all I needed – NOT TRUE! I didn’t realize that I needed to keep up those things that it took to win him over. I stopped being concerned with my looks. I stopped dressing to impress. I stopped cooking meals every day. Stuff got real!
