As we look at our lives there is only the reflection of what we see on earth that says anything about us. We are caught up in everything around us that is trying to influence us. How we respond to all this is who we are. We responded to a lot of things but sometimes our response is liked or disliked by ourselves and also by others. Our response is our decision and it is the same with everyone else. The one thing no one likes, is to be told, how to respond. Everyone has a right to respond in their own way. That is a right no one wants to give up, and a right that is protected by our democracy . No man, no church, no denomination, no authority can take this right away, and that is why democracy is such a powerful tool in society.

I hope as you read this book about democracy you will be able to separate democracy from God. This is what we did in our constitution, and that is what you will be able to do. This is what we call freedom there is no God that can make you do anything. But you need to realize that whether you believe in a God or not we have to get along together, if we are going to be a nation of life, liberty, and a pursuit of happiness.
