Today's baby boomers have come through a significant period of change in America. This change has not come without a price. Change never does. This change had both negative and positive results. It has been positive in a sense by bringing cultural awareness, educational and economic opportunities to people who were once denied these things by law. It was also negative because neighborhoods once populated with people who watched out for one another began to diminish. Still with us is the remnant of segregation that is so deeply engrained into our society that it causes people of color to seek significance by identifying with exclusive organizations, significant people and distancing themselves from others who appear less successful and those who act inappropriate. A retired college Provost of a prestigious southern university once commented that, "I can never be free as long as you are in bondage." Jesus dealt with those in bondage and those with bad reputations who acted inappropriately. He sought them and gently led them to the truth. He accepted them as they were and many responded be cause they realized they needed a Savior. Others thought they had religion, so they looked down on those who openly and unashamedly came to Christ. Today, in this post modern era, we have access to huge amounts of information, but it's not just information we need. We need the truth about ourselves and about God.

Maladjusted children and dysfunctional families seems to be all too common. We are quickly moving into an era of disrespect, dishonesty and extreme selfishness. There is an answer to the confusion. This work may contain information critical to men and women and the individuals family members in order to assist in navigating through storms that come with growth.

About the Author
Ronald Allen was born in the Mount Herman Section of Portsmouth, Virginia. Even in his childhood, he was prone to write and use written art forms. He spent some pre-teen years observing his family dynamics up close. He has had a flare for written expression early in life. This flare coupled with an interest in human behavior moves his writings to see trends of behavior that his readers may recognize as familiar.
“Perfect Imperfection” is an account of the author’s life experiences that he feels are significant to be examined. Much of the author’s inspiration and knowledge has been attributed to the Bible and the influence of his deceased father. He desires to tell a story that men and women may read and gain insight into how family, church, vocation and significant others impact personality. He hopes to give power to the reader to make decisions on directions in life and avoid negative expectations of others.
