Day 11
With him is wisdom and strength, he hath counsel and understanding. - Job 12:13
During this life, we have many different questions about a multitude of things, but a very common question in times of trouble is one simple but complicated word - Why. Why did this happen? Why would God allow this to happen? Why is my life not where I want it to be at this moment? Why can’t I have everything, and most importantly why would a holy being care about me? These questions have been asked many times, and you may not get the answer you want, or you may have to wait many years to discover the answer that God has for you. One answer that is true for each of those questions is that God loves you so much more than you could ever imagine, and you can discover His love in your life if you only trust and seek Him daily. When you have these questions, go to Him in prayer and ask Him. It says in John 16:24 for us to ask and we shall receive, so if you have any or all of these questions, ask God. You may get your answer within a few minutes or several years later. Everything is in God’s timing, and whenever you are truly ready for the answer, God will provide the answer to you. No matter what your ‘why’ question is to God, never walk away from Him. It is ok to yell at God because you are His child and He wants you to talk to Him and tell Him what you are feeling and going through even though He already knows. Always remember that last why question, “Why would a holy being care about me?” because the answer is simple, He created you and loves you enough to send His only Son, Christ Jesus, to die for your freedom from sin.

About the Author
April Hall is currently a math teacher at Covenant Christian School located in Tuscumbia, Alabama. She graduated with her bachelor’s degree from the University of North Alabama in December of 2013. Her testimony takes place over the course of twelve years. At eight years of age, April prayed to accept Jesus Christ as her Lord and Saviour. Her father, Tracy, told her that he would walk her down the aisle to their preacher to be baptized the following Sunday. However, he died that very week in a motorcycle accident. After his death April could not bring herself to walk down that aisle without him. She did not walk down that aisle until she was twenty years old with the guidance of a dear friend, Kayla. It was then, standing at the top of the stairs before walking down to the baptistery that she finally had peace about her father’s death.
