In the courts of law, we hear a lot the word Lord; it is also a common word in the monarchs that have existed in the world for decades. It may mean different things in different contexts. In kingdoms it has a meaning, in the courts it means something else and in the Bible, it has a specific meaning. The Bible uses it extensively in the old and the new testaments.
The secular meaning and the usage of the word Lord differ distinctively from its usage in the Bible. It implies a boss in the secular context and when one is called the Lord it causes goose bumps. It refers to an authoritarian leader who subjects the people to his/her words without them questioning or debating.
Obviously, the word and its meaning in the kingdom of God must be understood in the context of loving, caring and reaching out God other than a despotic personality who is happy to be served by enslaved subjects. The word itself comes with power and authority yet it is from a loving God who draws us to him.
I do not mean that this small book is all there is about Lord in the kingdom of God but I intend the reader to understand and, if possible, create the desire to know the Lord in the following subjects,

This book answers the question, 'who is the Lord?'; the supreme ruler with authority, power and influence. It discusses how God displayed himself as the Lord before Pharaoh the king of Egypt and how he delivered the Israelites with his mighty hand and outstretched arm. The relationship between leaders and followers, master and servant and they should respect their positions is also explained. Characteristics of the Lord and human beings and their roles is laid out. The power in the name of the Lord and how to benefit from that power is also discussed. Finally, Jesus Christ is portrayed as the Lord in the New Testament and information about how to receive Jesus as Lord, follow him and serve him is included in this book.
