In the kitchen, Molly waited for her daddy. She waited and waited and waited.
Daddy always ate pancakes with Molly. And Molly always gave him a good bye kiss on the cheek.
And Daddy always said, “I love you, Molly Dolly.”
Maybe Daddy is still sleeping? Molly thought. But only Daddy’s pajamas lay on his bed. Maybe he is in his office? But only the cat sat in Daddy’s office. Maybe he is in the yard? But only the babysitter stood in the yard watering marigolds.
“Where is my daddy?”
“Don’t you remember Molly? He had to go to work early today.”
“But he did not get his good bye kiss,” she whispered sadly.

About the Book
Molly wakes one morning to find her daddy has left for work early. Saddened that she did not give her daddy his good bye kiss, Molly sets out to find a way to get a special kiss to him.
Inspired by my own daughter’s desire to send her daddy a kiss while he was traveling in Europe, The Good Bye Kiss is written for children aged 4- 8 but may be enjoyed by all those who wish to send a kiss to their loved ones down the street or across the world.
About the Author
Heather was born and raised in Canada. She graduated from the University of Toronto with an Honors B.A and completed her teaching certiication from the University of Western Ontario. For 10 years she taught diverse students from kindergarten to grade eight. Heather is a graduate of the Institute of Children’s Literature. She currently resides in Arizona with her husband and two daughters. Heather often sends ‘kisses’ to her husband and daughters and to her parents who live 5000 miles away. The Good Bye Kiss is Heather’s first children’s book.
