One by one the vases tumbled to the floor. Sam's bright blue eyes filled with tears and his cheery smile vanished. Sam's dad turned around to see Sam sitting by the broken glass. "I'm sorry, Daddy!" said Sam.
Sam's dad gently put his arms around him and kindly said, "It's okay, Sam. I know I can make something beautiful our of your mess."

Sheryl A. Mitchell, BA, MEd, taught in high school, junior high school and worked in college administration. As a pastor’s wife, Sheryl worked in children’s ministry for many years. Sheryl is presently a fitness instructor. She and her late husband have four grown children.
