And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. 3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry (Hab. 2:2) You are in a crisis and are not sure how much longer you can hold on, waiting for God to move. He finally comes to you, letting you know that He hears your cry. He even shares with you how He is going to move on your behalf and bring relief to your situation. Then God tells you that you will have to wait for Him to move. It’s not time yet. You must continue to endure your crisis for a while. “I need you to keep holding on awhile longer,” He seems to say. This is another one of those areas where you really have to consider your concept of God, how He does things, and how you think they should be done. Although I was searching diligently, I was out of work for two years after I closed my store and my husband walked out. God does make us wait. And that makes no sense to us because we are suffering. We are losing things and seem to be losing our minds. And we know that He can relieve our suffering. We know that He can do whatever He wants, whenever He wants. Yet He chooses to have us wait.
If you stay tuned to God during your crisis, He will bring you to a place of knowing that even though He might allow and sometimes even cause affliction in your life, He will work them for your good and not for your destruction. The correct response toward Him is worship. When I realized why God didn’t save my house from foreclosure, and that a part of His plan was even to protect me, I was moved to an active attitude of praise, thanksgiving and worship.

About the Author
Lucille Anderson is a licensed minister and teacher. She is a graduate of Luther Rice University and Seminary with a bachelors in biblical counseling and a masters in Christian studies. She is presently studying toward a masters in leadership and for her master of divinity. Lucille has preached across denominational, racial, and state lines and has a heart for eradicating the lines of division. She has served many years as a women’s ministry director and conference planner and speaker.
Since she was a child, God has been preparing her heart and mind to minister to the hurting and those in crisis. To that end, she has completed her clinical pastoral education in readiness for certification as a hospital chaplain. As well, she is training for certification as a spiritual life coach. Equally important, the personal crises that she has endured have afforded her the compassion, empathy, and wisdom to companion others in crisis.
Lucille is the mother of Sharon Scurry, the grandmother of Justin (Alesa), and gg-mommy of Aaliyah and Darius. She makes her home between the Atlanta and the New Orleans areas, where she loves reading, walking, writing, and entertaining. This is her first book, but her plans for future publications are already in the works.
