I would not be where I am today if it wasn't for the Truth Project. Some dear friends of ours, Dennie & Elaine Lewis invited us to a video series produced by Focus on the Family. Elaine's brother-in-law, Del Tackett, taught the series. It started me to examine my whole life. TRUTH, what is it? Is there absolute truth or is truth relative and have I been taken in by the lies of this world? Maybe the lies that I have told myself so many times, I believed them. You see, as a Christian, we are supposed to be all about truth. After going through the Truth Project I had this overwhelming feeling that I had been deceived, and had deceived myself, but why? Who am I? I am Ralph Jones Goldsmith, but who is he? For the first time, I truly prayed, Lord, examine my life. I never dreamed that God would take me up on it. Every Christian's life will be examined before the throne of God. Someday we will give an account for every word we have spoken. That scares me big time. For seven nights I went to bed. The Holy Spirit dealt with me the entire night. He took be back to my childhood, grade school, high school, my first job, meeting my wife to be, my next job and how it ended, my side business, building a new home and the "big" elephant in the room - dyslexia. Dyslexia had dominated my life. I have dedicated this book to people that have dyslexia. Some of what I am about to tell you I knew in my mind before the seven nights. Some of it was revealed to me during the seven nights. The way it has affected me in my life has transformed me and my behavior today. I live now with such confidence. Without fear, knowing it is not by power, nor by might, but my the power of the Holy Spirit.

This book explains how one perceives their own life. This perspective may be completely void of truth and full of misconceptions. You will discover how God intervenes in your life when you don't even realize it. Even Christians can be deceived. You will read how I was walking alone with insecurities not knowing God was using my insecurities to advance His will in my life. You will learn that the still small voice that spoke to me as a child I never hardened my heart to. This has helped me in every step of my life. I learned that God will use you if you have a handicap. The goal is to follow that still small voice. Sometimes when you are over confident about your own abilities it is very easy to trust in your understanding. This is using human wisdom instead of God's leading hand. I hope that this book will teach you to trust in the still small voice and let God direct your paths. Trust and obey for there's no other way, to be happy in Jesus but to trust and obey.
About the Author
The action of an earthly father can set the course for his child. We also have a Heavenly Father who has a course set for our life before we are even born. Sometimes the perspective we get from our earthly father is a course set of lies and deceptions. Do we look at our ourselves from an earthly perspective or a Heavenly one? He felt that his earthly father thought that he was stupid. He didn't think his Heavenly father cared for him because his prayers went unanswered. Sometimes unanswered prayers is God's way of answering our prayers and putting us on the course He has set for us. Struggles are what makes us what we are. The courses God had for him was to develop him into a great story teller, a mule trainer, and a wagon tour builder. The great city of Independence, Missouri, is know as The Queen City of the Trails. It is also the home of Harry S Truman, our 33rd president. This is the pace that all of Ralph's God given talents were developed to create a successful wagon tour business.
