As we surrounded Aunt Faye’s bed and lifted up prayers to God for her peace, she began to raise her hands high in the air. And as she waved her thin arms, she began to reach out. She reached out as far as she could. I sat there perplexed as she frantically asked for her bed to be elevated so she could get closer to what she was reaching for. The expressions on our faces changed as we listened to her request. We attempted to gain an understanding of the situation at hand. What was she reaching for? What did she see? What was so amazing that it inspired a terminally ill woman to use what little strength she had to raise herself up to receive it?

About the Author
Tia T. Lee is a Christian writer with a desire to see lives changed through her inspired writings. As a fourteen-year-old girl she was an eye witness to spiritual encounters experienced by her aunt while dying from cancer. After her passing, she heard the audible voice of God tell her to share her aunt’s testimony with the world to encourage terminally ill patients. Due to this enlightening experience, she realized that God had called her to the medical field. Years later, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University, commissioned in the United States Air Force and served for almost nine years as a Registered Nurse. She is currently a pre-med student pursing a medical degree at Wright State University.
