The Eden Project

In Genesis, God created man and woman and put them in the Garden of Eden. Both Adam and Eve had perfect communion with God, and there was no pain, suffering, or sin. However, they soon decided to follow their own selfishness and were excommunicated from the Garden. Paradise was lost and torment was found. Brokenness took place of beauty, and exile became eternity.

Each individual’s mission in life is to travel back into that garden-like relationship with his or her Creator, God, through the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ, and at every moment, every other individual should try their best to support another’s completion of this mission. The local church is the foundation that allows the blood of Christ to fortify believers into a functional body; however, the idea of the local church presently invokes negative thoughts and emotions in many of the minds of teenagers and college students. The younger generation’s image of the church is one of judgment, boredom, fun sucking, legalism, and outdatedness. The youth of today have replaced the bar scene with where the church was once viewed. The party life is what is exciting, fun, cool, free, and fresh. The problem, however, is that the greatest celebratory party will be initiated when Jesus Christ returns to marry His Bride, the Church, and somewhere along history, the concept of a party was attributed to evilness as opposed to righteousness. We plan to change that.

There is no reason why the party theme cannot be acquired for Christianity. Sin has already established a very effective and phenomenal framework to draw young people into community. All we now have to do is redefine the goals, reassign the residents, and replace the tenants. Instead of attempting to get everyone wasted to forget their problems, make everyone financially broke, and assist the white people in dancing, the goal will be to offer up an entertaining community where everyone can still have a great time without DUIs, affairs, illegal drug use, and unwanted pregnancies. Problems and confusions will not be attempted to be masked but will be addressed by serving leaders.
