"Always was, Donald. She even died with a smile on her face. That night at the school house program she sang 'Alice Blue Gown' and played the piana. Said she had a belly ache on the way home. We didn't think that much about it. But she didn't feel like going to school the next day. I didn't think that much about it either, I don't know why. Later that afternoon, when she started sweating and moaning we called Doc Good. He came as soon as he could. Your grandma thought she smelled liquor on his breath. I didn't."

About the Book
Donald Brown Miller has a year to live. At least that's what his guardian angel has told him. He'd like to shrug it off as a strange dream but he can't, it seems much too real. If he does have a guardian angel, why would she want him to know? Couldn't she do something about it?
There'll be other angels. Old friends and acquaintances, even complete strangers. All have one thing in mind; they want him to die a happy man. They're here to help.
This won't be easy, he has issues. So do they.
