Can I Do This Alone

That night Daddy came home early, so we had dinner when I got home from school. We had spicy chicken, mashed potatoes, broccoli, and green beans.

When it was time to go to bed, I prayed that God would leave me here when He came back to take his people with Him, so I could teach others about Him. I knew it was a crazy thing to ask, but that’s what I wanted to do. I then fell asleep. I woke up from a dream that I had. It had a yellow glowing Golden Retriever statue sitting in a corner of a cabin. The owner was a young girl with her father sitting on the couch reading the Bible. They were happy! They wore big smiles on their faces. It’s the smile you would find on a TV commercial. Weird, huh?

I sat down on the bus on the fourth row to the right. I rode all the way to Natalie’s house. She got on the bus, and a loud trumpet sounded. The trumpet sounded like a tune of hallelujahs. She said, “I need a….”

POOF! She disappeared. I looked over to the bus driver, she too had disappeared. Only their clothes were left. Their souls were gone. It was just like the movie. I was the only one left on the bus. Was I left alone? And I was riding in a bus without a bus driver. I quickly ran to the steering wheel and hit the brake pedal. The bus stopped in the middle of the road. I saw in the rear view window a car behind the bus driving without a driver. I opened up the door and jumped out. Right about that time the car crashed into the bus. The bus was a goner. I got out just in time!
