About the Book
Soul Mates is a Christian novel with some historical facts. It is a story of two Scottish families, the MacNeils and MacKinnons, who share the common love of family and loyalty to each other. The setting is Nevada during the 1870s. Dr. Kathryn MacNeil leaves Boston for Nevada to join her father and brothers and finds her soul mate, Daniel. Both families experience trials and happiness along life’s way but no one more than Kathryn and Daniel. They experience happiness for many years but then circumstances place their marriage in jeopardy. Only God can solve the turmoil of unforgiveness with His wisdom and love.
About the Author
Marjorie E. MacPherson is married, with a daughter and son and four grandchildren whom she adores. This book represents a labor of love for the last eight months. Born and raised in Connecticut, she married and lived in Canada for forty-four years but now lives on four and a quarter acres on a hilltop in Canaan, Maine, with her husband. Her testimony is that God led her to the piece of land that overlooks beautiful scenery and small mountains. She says the sunrises and sunsets are spectacular, along with the display of stars at night. She is looking forward to future publications and calls it her new career. Marjorie and her husband are members of “The Church of Faith” in Skowhegan, Maine.
