As fate would have it, one afternoon the Oklahoma weather appeared to take a turn for the worse. However, instead of a tornado, rain, hail or snow, something entirely different began falling from the sky.
A delivery truck on its way to deliver shoes to a local store was responsible for the violent precipitation. The driver, who was driving much too fast for the bumpy country road, hit one very large bump. The back of the truck flew open and shoes began exploding out of it. "Run for cover girls!" yelled Tilly.
It's an Oklahoma twister for sure!" shouted Bernice. There were penny loafers, cowboy boots, ballet slippers, sandals and house shoes in every color and shape imaginable. As the shoes rained down on the pasture, the cows ran for cover under the branches of a rather large oak tree. The driver of the truck continued on his way, never slowing down long enough to look behind him.

About the Book
Moos in Shoes is the story of a small herd of discontented cows and one reclusive bull. The cows live busy but seemingly unproductive lives. Everything changes for the cows when a shoe-delivery truck driver, driving much too fast, loses part of his load of shoes on the cows’ pasture. After a plethora of shoes explode from the back of the truck, the cows make a most profound fashion statement and discover something greater.
About the Author
Chery James taught elementary school in Oklahoma and Texas for twenty-four years. She has been married to her high school prom date, Terry, for forty-two years. They have two daughters, two sons-in-law, and six grandchildren. Chery writes children’s Bible curricula, plays the guitar, and speaks at women’s conferences. Chery and Terry live in Eastern Oklahoma in the foothills of the Ozarks with their dogs, Dorothy and Alice. They serve a risen Savior, the Lord Jesus.
