ARISE
O Lord how I’ve wept,
With such pain which crept,
Barely done anything nor slept,
As my heart to you it leapt.
Tears flowed down like streams,
Too much to bear it seems,
The pain, shame, and condemnation which screams,
So much pressure yet difficult to let out steam.
Thoughts and doubts fluttered in my mind,
As my emotions clashed in a grind,
Fear left me in a bind,
O God how I asked for a sign!
Father how troublesome it is to let pride go,
Yet it is the best option I know,
Retaliations and insults can bring people low,
But you Jesus redeem us white as snow.
This path has been overbearing in so many ways,
How can a man live without you through his days?
I desire your love as I stare out to the bay,
A minor reflection of the depth of your love which pours out through you Yahweh.
O how you comfort the broken-hearted,
As if it was the first day we started,
To appreciate your love which restarted,
A wave of grace which darted,
The hearts of the Jews and Gentiles,
From one block in Zion to many miles,
Around the world impacting people from different cultural styles,
From the wilderness to the church aisles.
As I cried out your name,
You did not leave me the same,
In my state of lame,
Nor ensnared within the enemy’s game.
You wrapped yourself onto me,
With such compassion and comfort that dwells within thy,
Rejuvenating my soul as you set me free,
So I can rise as the man of God you made me to be.
Life is full of trials and tribulations. These troublesome times can bring us to very low points in our lives. During this difficult time I felt overwhelmed with such confusion as negative news bombarded me all at once. My heart barely made it out and every time I attempted to know or figure out my situation on my own, I ended up feeling emptier inside.
Emotions can be beautiful when we are completely joyful because we are reflecting the joy God has for us. But when our hurts unceasingly replay in our minds, our emotions feel as an anchor pulling us down into the abyss. When we are in a tight bind, these are the moments God gives us to express everything to Him.
God loves us so much that He is willing to listen to every single detail of all that is going on within us. As always God is our comforter and He is very keen to take care of His beloved children who are suffering. He is full of compassion and grace.
He wants the very best for us and undoubtedly suffers as we suffer. When we cry out to Him, He will come and deliver us from our troubles and lift up our spirit with hope; a hope that never disappoints which enables us to know that as we suffer now, we shall glorify God in testimony later.
Don’t hold onto your brokenness and suffering alone. That is pride in disguise. We are not meant to bear the weight of this world on our own.
Surrender to Jesus Christ and He will restore you and lift you up as the godly person you are called to be. He will renew you like the wings of eagles.

Shall renew their strength;

They shall walk and not faint.
AGAPE’S LINES
Lord God you are my rock,
Forever still and same past the clock,
No matter how many days pass by,
Your love shall never die.
Armies surround us on every side,
Nowhere to go or ride,
Yet to you I shall abide,
Even when the enemy has momentous tide.
You never abandon your people,
From ground to steeple,
Emotions flood in,
Your Spirit dwells within.
No man can turn your hand,
From your judgment in this land,
You rule with mercy and just,
Only in you do I trust.
As I look on to Zion;
I hear the roar of a Lion,
Who rules within the hearts of the few,
The chosen who follow you.
We have come and gone,
Yet Your reign forever goes on,
Our hearts eagerly continues to long,
For you as we sing your song,
With shouts of joy and praise,
For all of our days,
Up high shall our arms raise,
As we stand in awe of your gaze.
The people tremble in fear of your sight,
So holy is your wonderful light,
Such love and raw power that radiates so bright,
Even demons shriek and scream in fright.
No one can completely understand,
Your eternal fervent love for man,
Not even worth granules of sand,
Yet your love does and forever can,
Redeem the wicked from their ways,
Turned away from the devil’s book of plays,
Anew we are under the stars,
Forever marked by your scars.
Washed our sins by your precious blood,
Furious waves of your love rushing in as a flood,
No man can ever resist,
Your love for without it no man can exist.
You watch over us day and night,
No matter whether we turn left or right,
You always guide us to stay alight,
With such wisdom and incredible insight.
As you walk through the halls,
We hear you as you call,
Though armies and castles may fall,
Forever you stand tall.
As I look with my naked eyes,
I can’t do anything but be mesmerized,
By the love and life you gave to me,
I was once blind but now I see.
Forever I will tell the tale,
Of when I laughed and wailed,
With you there so the lost children can hear,
Of the mighty loving king who reigns here.
A life restored and renewed,
Heavenly love eternally brewed,
Within this broken heart of mine,
Now a story filled with agape’s lines.
