The tools such as concordances, topical bibles, and commentaries are easy enough to obtain in most Christian book online stores or even secular online book stores. Different software bible programs are also readily available. I will say though the better the search engine in the software bible program, the better the bible software. Those types of tools are not what this book is about. The tools that this book is about deal more with explaining the bible using only three sources.
2 Corinthians 13:1 This is the third time I am coming to you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.
They are in English the King James Bible; in Hebrew the Masoretic Text; in Greek the Byzantine Text. The use of the Strong’s numbers will make this a lot easier since most English speaking people do not know Hebrew or Greek. So this means you will also need a good Strong’s Concordance for the King James Bible. With the following tools and God’s help, you will be able to understand far more Bible than you presently do. It is true that because it is God’s Word, you will not be able to understand it all. The person that takes the attitude “If I cannot learn it all why bother to learn any” is backslidden. One of the biggest thrills in life is learning. The greatest thing in life to learn is the Bible. Some of the most difficult passages people stumble over are because of violating one or more of the basic laws taught in the following pages. Do remember Peter’s comment about some of Paul’s writings.

It has been said, “Each day you give a man a fish, he will eat that day, but if you teach a man how to fish, he will eat every day.”
The intensions of this book are to teach you not how to fish but how to study the Bible for yourself instead of waiting for someone to feed you day by day. Studying your Bible is a command from God. You can read your Bible without studying it. Most Christians just simply read their Bible. This does not satisfy the command from God to study the Bible.
In the words of 2 Timothy 2:15, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

Gerald McDaniel has an associate’s degree in engineering from Moultrie Technical College in Moultrie, Georgia; a bachelor's degree from a combination of Hyles Anderson College of Indiana, Heritage Baptist College of Indiana, and Andersonville Baptist Seminary of Georgia; and a master’s degree at Andersonville Baptist Seminary of Georgia.
