About the Book
Castleland is a land where each unique castle represents an individual and there the main character is working through the trauma of sexual abuse. After a natural response of hiding, the princess makes a decision to seek help. Through hard work and with the help of others she slowly regains her inner joy and trust in others.
About the Author
Nancy was a stay at home mom when she volunteered to mentor families in crisis. Her training prepared her to recognize the different signs and responses to trauma. While contemplating how every daughter desires to be a princess at heart, and then to express how special and precious each one is, despite one’s own feelings; the core idea of Castleland was born. This idea did not go away but marinated for a long time. As with other moms Nancy had worked with, she herself was unaware and blinded to the truth. When that truth was presented the searing pain of abuse hit close to home and her heart too was pierced through. Time alone does not heal but having gone through the process illustrated in this book, healing has come. It is her deep desire that others find healing and freedom from the damaging effects and lies of abuse.
Now to the best healer of all, she is dedicating this book to her personal abiding friend who gives insight and help: Jesus “Oh, give me back my joy again; you have broken me now let me rejoice.” Psalm 51:8 New Living Translation (NLT)
