Mom worked during the week to help out with finances. She worked at a company called Coat Craft. She was an excellent seamstress. Later on in life my father and I would help her make custom drapes. Dad and I would do all the installation. Saturday was cleaning day. I was not allowed out until I throughly cleaned my room. She would bribe me saying, "If you help me I'll Take you shopping with me and buy you something."
While cleaning one Saturday morning in the spring of 1957 I heard my mother scream my name. " Bill ... Bill come here." I turned and looked down the hallway. Her bedroom looked like it got hit by a bolt of white lighting. A chill ran up and down my spine. Other than the white light you could see nothing past the doorway. A white fire was the only thing I could think of. My mother was in there. I only thought of one thing, my mom. With no fear I ran straight down the hallway, as fast as I could, into the white light. My mother was sitting on the bed, safe. I asked, "Are you ok?". She said, "Yes" and pointed to the statue on the bureau.
The candle had burnt out. You could see only the figure of the Blessed mother emitting this bright white light consuming the room. I turned to my mother. I could see her clearly. I turned back to the statue emitting the blinding light Amazing! The light did not restrict or hurt your eyes. The light remained for about 15 seconds then was slowly absorbed by the statue. Everything else came into focus as the statue absorbed the light. The statue of the Blessed mother remained glowing. She never complained of heart palpations again. From that day on till her death the statue glowed every night.

About the Book
Physically Touched by God is an autobiography spanning sixty years in the life of William Vitterelli. The book starts with a vision at the age of twelve. These visions would become a common occurrence throughout his life, and thinking these were normal, he never paid attention to his gift.
His goal in life was simple: Material things meant little to him. What meant a lot was to be like his father and to have a loving wife and family. This is a love story. He failed at two marriages and felt God had denied him his dream; however, his third and unexpected relationship exceeded all expectations.
Both parties needed help and aided one another. Their union led to excitement and adventure, though health issues dominated the latter part of their marriage. The exceedingly high cost of health care pushed them close to poverty. Despite their problems, love and happiness prevailed.
William never realized his whole life was guided by God. What happens next will surprise and astound you.
About the Author
William Vitterelli is a first-generation American born of Italian immigrants. Raised in an Italian neighborhood, he went to all Catholic schools including La Salle College where he studied electronic physics. He worked in electronics and in the HVAC industry. This experience gave him total independence, a complete view of business, and a high cosmopolitan view of people.
