LEGACY
I want to be remembered
As a woman with Your heart.
Who gave when it was hardest
And gave the dearest part.
I want so to be thought of
As a sample of Your grace.
Who saw the worth In every man
And helped others find their place.
Though memory be selective
And good thoughts be my goal,
Oh help them to remember
It was You who cleansed my soul.
Think not of me as “saintly”
But see me real and flawed.
Not angel – but a sinner
Whose heart was touched by God.
And if my life means nothing more
Than that others seek Your light
Then, Father, I’m content; at peace
That mine was a fruitful life.

Great God of love. God of peace.
One and Only. Risen Lamb.
King of Kings. Great I AM.
Judah’s Lion. Father of Lights.
King of Earth and Heaven’s heights.
Sovereign Lord. I trust Your plan,
Everlasting. Great I AM.
Holy God, Consuming Fire.
Awesome Savior. My desire.
Your mercy holds me in your Hand.

Jean Noah is a sixty-something poet and songwriter. She has been writing since her high school years. Her poetry is a reflection of her feelings, her life experiences, and her faith. Jean lives in the San Fernando Valley, part of Los Angeles County, in California and enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
