A Fight for My Soul

Another night I had a significant dream in which Jesus was definitely the winner. I actually fell asleep in my own bed while Joe fell asleep on the sofa. I had the bed to myself which was good since I tossed and turned a lot. In the dream I was sleeping in my bed. I woke up and went downstairs and found Joe sleeping on the sofa. The house was lit up. There was a knock on the door and I went to answer it. Joe was sleeping so soundly through the knock that I knew he wouldn't wake up. I opened the door and there was no one there. However; down on the steps about 5 feet away was a black formless figure just standing there. The figure was not human but a black heap. The air was very still and I yelled at it, "Who are you and what do you want?"My voice was sharp and aggressive. I yelled the same phrase several more times. The black, dead shape never answered me. I finally shut and locked the door. I turned away from whatever that black thing was. I went back to bed leaving Joe on the sofa and the lights on.
