It was the beginning of May and only 24 more days until my children would be with me. I went out to the mailbox before I headed into work, expecting a letter from my children. What I had held in my hand was a letter from the Courts of Colorado. I stared at the envelope trying to come up with a reasonable explanation in why I would be getting this. I slowly opened it and pulled out a letter. My heart was pounding and I began to shake, feeling the familiar panic that I became to know too well. I began to read. They were requesting my presence in the family courthouse on May 24th for a custodial hearing. Steve and Linda…Linda, who I would babysit her little girl and Steve who would never do anything with them while we were married, were suing me for the custody of my children. I couldn’t believe what I was reading; looking at it as if it would disappear, being a bad dream. I called my supervisor at work telling him I wouldn’t be coming in, there was an emergency.
I reread the letter. How could he do this to me, how could Linda? Instead of planning on my children to be coming home was now replaced with planning on finding an attorney and fighting for my children.

About the Book
Walking Within His Shadow tells of how God was able to pull me through my darkest times when satan tried to destroy me. I want people to see no matter how many mistakes are made Jesus is there, making the way. It speaks of forgiveness to others and to myself, which I thought was an impossible task. I tell of healings, miracles I witnessed and Jesus loving me when I did the unthinkable as a Christian.

She has revealed her inner-most emotions so that anyone who reads this story will be encouraged to press on in all things. She fought spiritual battles along with the physical battles, always having the perseverance to continue. One could say that you go thru situations in life so when another person is struggling to stay on their feet, you can be there for them. She is a model for achieving a reputation of showing the love of the Lord to everyone she meets. This story shows how living a simple life can be fulfilling to the soul if you keep God first. The love of God has a plan and no matter what comes your way, He is faithful. As a first time Author she is also a Grandmother and a Great Grandmother. She is busy in helping others, to be an encouragement to all, wanting Jesus to shine through her.
