About the Author

AUTHOR BIO:

Author Sue Brockett (Mrs. Bee Friendly) recalls her many years of school-bus driving by writing The Friendly Bus Stories, based on Galatians 5:22–23. She wrote “The Friendly Bus” song to remind her students about the importance of being kind to others and sang it to them often. Mrs. Bee Friendly now enjoys retirement with her husband in the Arizona sunshine. She stays in contact with children by volunteering at the elementary schools of Sahuarita.

ILLUSTRATOR BIO:

Illustrator Mike LaFond found his God-given artistic talent when taking art classes in high school. He pursued a graphic design career but went back to his greater joy of illustrating later in life. Sue’s multicultural characters in the stories are a perfect fit for his cartoon/illustrative style of drawing. He looks forward to working with Sue on the remaining episodes in the series. Mike lives in the Seattle area with his lovely wife, Mary, and their two Pomeranians, Happy and Zoe.
