Unfortunately, my story does not begin with “Once upon a time” because this isn’t a fairytale—it’s my life story. By sharing with others my trials, tribulations, and best of all, my triumphs, I pray this book will help others. Even if my testimony reaches only one person, it will have been worth the effort. Some might say, “You shouldn’t air your dirty laundry for everyone to read.” I don’t consider my testimony dirty laundry; I consider sharing it an honor to the Lord because He put it on my heart to do so.
Here is where the choices in my life began. I will not go into too much detail at points where it might involve my family as far as my early years are concerned out of respect for my family and friends. I want to give you a quick overview so you can understand the depth of my confusion, hurt, anger, fear, and frustration. At times, I still experience some of these emotions today, even as a Christian.
Our minds are like computer hard drives. We might think we have deleted their contents, but in reality, we never can truly delete them. The past, good or bad, is always stored there and can be found and brought back to the forefront, as we read in 1 Peter 5:8: “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking them he may devour.” The devil wants to devour us by bringing back those tormenting memories we’re trying so hard to forget.

Choices: The Ripple Effect presents Fé’s testimony of hope and forgiveness, recounting her life story with all of its ups and downs and considering both the good and bad choices she made over the years.
In her memoir, she offers a firsthand look at her life, from her tragic beginnings to the Christian ministry that is now her life and everything in between. She recalls the gritty details of choices gone wrong, including her decision to remarry her first husband and the results of her other damaged relationships. She also shares that her belief in God has changed her life for the better—that no matter how the world views each of us, God can turn our life experiences into change for the better, if we believe in Him.
We are responsible for the choices we make in our lives, whether they are good or bad. Our choices affect not only our own lives, but also the lives of people close to us—a fact that Fé’s story makes clear. The good news, however, is that God is there to help us find our way and to love us unconditionally. Choices demonstrates that regardless of a person’s background or past mistakes, God loves each of us; there is a place for us in His Kingdom.
About the Author
Fé is a native Texan and the minister of This Too Shall Pass Ministry. She became an ordained minister in May of 1994. She experienced abuse for most of her life, but through God’s Word, she learned to forgive her abusers. This is her first book.
