The question, “Father, who are You?”, is a question to be asked by every man. The answer is evident and available if a serious effort is made to find it. Each man will answer it in his own way, but God has revealed Himself to man in such a way that men can know His answer to the question. In God’s transcended state as Jesus Christ, Jesus answers the question repeatedly in His teachings “Your Father in Heaven.” You may ask, “What kind of Father is He? Is He a stern dictator or an indifferent watch maker?” God is neither. He is, in fact, a loving Father who will pay any price for the well-being of His children. This answer was demonstrated by Jesus at the crucifixion. This is when God became the kind of man that men do not want to be. He did this in order to pay the ransom for man’s freedom. He became hated, despised, rejected, shamed, abandoned, and unloved. He became a blasphemer and a rebel. He became a criminal of the church and state to pay the debt incurred by man’s sin. The result was that on His cross on Calvary’s hill mankind saw the face of God in the unbounded love that only a Father has for His children.
The Latin’s say: “Ecce homo! Ecce dues!”
Behold the man! Behold the God upon the Cross!

About the Book
Father, Who Are You? is a description of God taken directly from the pages of Scripture. From the dawn of creation to the end of the age, God is the same. He has revealed Himself in the persons of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. In Father, Who Are You? each personality is explained—the Father Creator, the divine human Savior, and the Spirit worker.
As we read Williams’s description of God, we come face to face with God’s divine plan to reconcile Himself to humanity. In the final chapter we realize there is a pathway to God: a pathway we must take if we are to know God.
About the Author
John W. Williams is the pastor of a street ministry in Wharton, Texas, where he helps men struggling to overcome substance abuse through the healing grace of Jesus Christ. John holds a master of divinity degree from Houston Graduate School of Theology. While at Houston Graduate School of Theology, he was awarded the St. Nicholas Award for outstanding character by the faculty and students. John teaches New Testament principles with practical application to daily living in the twenty-first century.
John is married to his wife of twenty years. They have a daughter and son.
