A Weekend in June

Griffin has always been prepared to help Charlotte share some difficult events with the family, but he never thought he would have to do it by himself. Her journal entries though, will give him the help he needs to reveal some really traumatic things. He begins to share that Mama C was not always the person of faith that the family had grown to love and rely on. Mama C had a metamorphosis of sorts, and the change was both dramatic and painful. Over the years she had recorded the details in the journal as she worked through her emotions. Looks of shock covered the faces for the precious family members Charlotte loved so much. They could not imagine what secrets the pages of her journal could reveal.

Griffin cautiously flips through the pages, looking for a particular date. He tells the family that he will be sharing some of Charlotte’s journal entries and they span many years. Finding the first entry he wants to share, Griffin pauses momentarily to hold Charlotte’s hand and tells her what he will be doing. Knowing that she can’t possibly understand him, Griffin felt it was only right to let her know that the moment had finally arrived.
