This world of contrast, conflict, and confrontations forces all into multiple, battles, yet you also want to understand this is warfare. Hardships and struggles that want to pull you to the left or to the right or knock you down and dance on your belly. You must reach somewhere for strength.
This is not an issue you can skirt or go around, for it encircles the globe and intertwines all in its grasp.
You are not to run around seeing all others as criminals, crooks, and con artists, though there are a number of them running loose. Rather a good perspective recognizes in day to day life decisions, all deal with internal and external factors concerning beliefs, standards, work, school, marriage, family, society, bills, entertainment, etc., etc., etc. within each one’s life circle. Your basis of foundation takes your internal decision and gives it an external expression accordingly. You live your life thru your beliefs.
Your accomplishments and eternal future hinges on your weaponry choice. To understand your weaponry need, you must understand your opposition.
Your opposition is the world, the devil, and the flesh. All 3 are in a fallen position.
This world system is fully attached to evil deeds and dedicated to them. The devil hates anything that brings glory to God and you are created in God’s image. The flesh is a factor within that you are unable to redeem by earthly means.
Your true warfare is with spirit rebels impacting all three of these areas, and this is not a battle of just flesh and blood.
The fallen Satan is the sworn enemy of every human on the earth, his hunger is always evil, he works to keep you out of heaven, and he is an ungodly enemy you can’t defeat without divine weapons. He attacks the mind, because he knows if he leads your heart-felt thoughts, the rest of your life follows. Your enemy will stand against you and you must stand against him to win. To stand against your enemy is to stand against his kingdom (of darkness) and sin. His kingdom is a kingdom of sin. Sin corrupts, causes blindness to reality, and destroys. When Satan holds your fleshly heart, he owns your present and future. He is an enemy you can’t see and who influences humanity to prey on each other. You conquer Satan by submitting to the gospel and committing to the Lord. Satan’s desire is that you stay in the fallen ranks with him, forever.
You must live in this physical world in a physical body, yet resist fighting in a fleshly avenue against your enemies.
Your weapon of choice will come by power of choice, for you’re a free will agent, yet this also means you hold responsibility and accountability for each decision. Let me explain. There are only 2 categories of weapons. Carnal and spiritual. Earthly and heavenly. Natural and godly. Both have power, yet operate in different ways. Darkness never intends good and light never intends evil.
Spiritual weapons can only be spiritually acquired, which means only thru the power of the Holy Spirit and they are a must for spiritual triumph. You are empowered by the Holy Spirit when you repent and receive Jesus as Savior. Now, God will deposit most spiritual weapons in you and they can mature and grow in the application and growth of your spiritual walk for they are received by faith. Yet, 2 weapons, the cross of Christ and the armor of God, must be taken up by faith. Spiritual weapons are necessary for dealing with spiritual enemies.
The heart of their difference lies in the acceptance of their wisdom.
All spiritual weapons will do 6 things; 1) empower you for freedom and victory, 2) bring you help for godly living, 3) enable you to fulfill God’s will, 4) help you in bringing God glory, 5) support you to live and stay in the Light, 6) bring courage to do right.
This point is vital to be expressed, that human wisdom, talent and gifts, can be used to honor the Lord when submitted to the Lord. They cannot supersede the word of God or God’s guidance. This is the differentiating factor if they are on the side of darkness or light. That is because of 2 important factors; intention (internal reason and desire of what you want to accomplish) and direction (external physical application).
To apply spiritual weapons in your battles; receive instruction from ( the word of God, the Holy Spirit, sound spiritual writings, and mature children of God ) and do all things in love.
No one earns enough points to get to heaven, nature cannot heal a sin-sick soul, you can’t purchase salvation, positive thinking won’t convert a corrupted heart, and good works will not pardon sin.
