INTEGRITY

3 Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us

“Ouch, that hurt!” cried Firefly.

“You stung me as you were flying by.”

“I’m sorry friend,” Bee replied.

“I can’t control this tail of mine.”

Bee was always so embarrassed and no one found it funny.

When he accidentally stung someone, while busy making honey.

And though he couldn’t tell if he was mostly black or yellow.

He was absolutely certain that he was a decent fellow.

He didn’t like to hurt his friends. His heart was truly kind.

But nonetheless, he’d inflict pain from the prod on his behind.

So he came up with a plan to gain their friendship back.

He flew into an inkpad to paint his yellow black.

And found an open glue stick, and rolling left to right,

His wings no longer spread out wide, they stuck to his sides tight.

He used his tiny legs to walk along the ground.

And blend in with the colony, of his friend Ant in town.

Bee told Ant he was a stranger, from a hill just down the road.

Ant smiled, “You can join us and lighten up our load!”

So they toted tiny pieces of sprinkled food they found.

Bee tried to fit right in and gather bits from all around.

But Bee grew tired quickly of lifting crumbs all day.

Ant’s legs were strong and sturdy, but his weren’t made that way.

He turned to grab the last morsel of food that he had gathered.

When Beetle came up behind him and the group of ants just scattered.

“You’ve been stealing food from our private reserve!”

“So drop that chunk,” Beetle growled, “Before you get what you deserve!”

Bee dropped the food and scurried away, fearing for his life.

He thought being a Bee was tough, never realizing Ant’s strife...
