“Cyberspace! Where is cyberspace?”
“It is everywhere and nowhere,” said the Oracle.
“That doesn’t make sense,” said the Toby.
“It’s where everything happens without you being aware of it,” said the Oracle. “Think of it as an open field of make-believe created by the Internet. It is not to be feared” explained the Oracle. “It is only to be used.”
“Gail said, “How can we use something we don’t see?”
“You do it all the time. Think of it as a private meeting place where everyone meets their friends even if you can’t see them. You can’t see friendship, do you? You can’t see love or hate, but you know they are real to life. So is Cyberspace. If you consider it more as a place for social interaction rather than a physical terrain, I think you will understand it better.”
“Can we land somewhere? I am getting tired,” asked Gail.
“Wait for a cloud to drift by. In the meantime, thermals will hold you up. You will not fall.”
“It seems surrealistic, but yet so real that I am confused as to where I am and what I am doing here,” commented Toby. “We only wanted to get a little information about how the computer works and before we knew it we are in outer space. Well, not outer space. It’s more like, well, ‘infospace,’” said Toby.

About the Author
Dede Weldon Casad is the author of more than fifteen non-fiction, fiction and children's books. Educated in Texas, she has two undergraduate degrees and a PhD. Dr. Casad is also an entrepreneur and has served on several corporate boards. She makes her home in Dallas and has three grown children and six grandsons.
Rod Keitz is the co-founder and partner of Keitz and Herndon, a nationally recognized film production studio in Dallas. Rod spent much of his career setting the style of the company's cartoon and industrial animation, as well as graphic and industrial design from hand-drawn cells through the early stages of computerization. Rod is the proud father of four children and ten grandchildren.
