Bossy & Bernerd were cows you see,
Bossy was her and Bernerd was he.
Bossy was brown with speckles of white
and Bernerd was well… the color of night.
Their home was a farm in Stillman so small,
that most of the country didn’t know it at all.
Now critters were also a part of this place,
a skunk with a limp and a coyote named Case.
And oh yes the mouse, who loved all the cats,
I even heard tell, he loved all the bats.
The skunk's name was Sam,and the mouse went by Moe.
When they got together it was quite a show.

The story of Bossy and Bernerd's Stillman Valley Farm takes place in the gently rolling hills of the Midwest, in a small rural community. The tall fields of corn and rows of soybeans are the setting. You will enjoy meeting the characters on the farm: a skunk with a limp, a horse that wears a top hat, and a mouse that loves all the cats. It’s a fun read for the whole family.
About the Author
Steve Lundquist has been involved with children for more than forty-five years. He has been a camp counselor, a director of youth ministries, and has coached various sports teams at many levels. For the past twenty-four years he has entertained hundreds of thousands as Mr. Steve "The Master Facilitator of Fun" (a musical comedy show involving music, magic, and ballooning). He’s traveled across the United States and even on a trip to Africa. He started writing songs and poems as a teenager, and now he has ventured into the realm of children's books.
