Escape Down the Roman Road

Paul speaks on many important aspects of the Christian faith beginning with salvation, justification, condemnation, righteousness, faith, grace, redemption, sacrifice of atonement, the blood of Jesus, reconciliation, peace, joy, perseverance, to being more than conquerors in Christ Jesus. The book of Romans is a bit extensive in terminology. It may even seem like a lot of “preacher words” used only in church. Terminology that is hard to understand, or concepts never fully explained. Though, it is important that we grasp the understanding of the gospel, what we have through Christ, and what the Bible means for each one of us. Solomon in all his wisdom, inspired by God himself, wrote about the wisdom of God in Proverbs. He says “My son, if thou wilt (you will) receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee; So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding; If thou criest (cry) after knowledge, and liftest (lift) up thy voice for understanding; If thou seekest (seek) her as silver, and searchest (search) for her as for hidden treasures; Then shalt thou shalt (you will) understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God” (Proverbs 2:1-6).

It is important to remember that we need to be on the correct road, the road of salvation, to live godly lives, obtaining the wisdom of God. To walk down that road the best we can, with the help of God, is the key to a successful Christian walk of faith. Remember there are no middle roads to walk on.
