Thank you, Lord, for Loving Me
In the midst of troubles,
I know that you're able.
Even without much to say,
To you, my Lord I pray.
I know you'll make a way.
When everything seems wrong,
Sometimes i feel I can't go on.
Your love makes me strong.
Knowing that you are near
Helps me to face my fear.
Lord, your love-
It's a gift from above
That helps me sleep at night.
It's the air that I breathe.
For you, my Lord, I live.
I pray to you each day
To keep the enemy away.
You always rescue me.
I know you'll never leave me.
Thank you, Lord, for loving me.
To God be the glory!

Merlande is a forty-one-year-old married woman who lives in Miami, Florida. She was born and raised in Haiti and came to Miami when she was nineteen. She has six children, five boys and one girl. She is not a poet or a writer, just a regular mom who loves the Lord, works during the night, and takes care of her children during the day.
