About the Book

God wants communication with those He calls His own. He loves to speak to His children and spend time with them.

Everything that happens in our lives, from friends and family to circumstances and problems and other things that bring teachable moments in God’s love, are ways He speaks to us.

A Scripture in Psalms says, “What man is he that fears the Lord, Him shall He teach in the ways that He shall choose.”

God allows me to put into poetry form our conversations and my well-taught lessons. He puts time and energy in to change me to be more like Him. There is always a learning point in each one.

A lesson from time with Him can be as simple as the birds and flowers that He so tenderly cares for or a long-lasting storm that reminds me of my own stubbornness or persistence.

God is very faithful and merciful in His dealings with us and makes it well known that He is more about love than punishment for all the things we do wrong.

He wants us to love Him and trust Him as much as He loves and cares for us. He wants our time with Him to be the most valued and important part of our lives. It makes it easier to deal with all the other facets that combine to make us who we are in Him.

The best thing about God speaking to me and teaching me is that when I have experienced what He is doing in me and enjoying the results, I look forward to our next conversation. Learning and changing our relationship with God is worth more than anything else you can find in life.
