About the Author
The Gathering takes place in the countryside of Flatwood, Alabama, during the midfifties through the late sixties. This book is a flashback of my life and some of the things that I experienced while growing up in Alabama.
The story begins with a close-knit family searching for a new home because the family was increasing in number, and the old home was getting a little too small for comfort. The beauty of God’s creation could be seen throughout the land. Even in the midst of struggling times, the family never wavered in their faith. Their trust in the mighty power of God always brought hope and healing to the family.
