My Long Walk to Motherhood

During a conference I was attending in June 2003, I looked at my three-month-old beautiful baby and wondered to myself: how did she come? The reply came straight from my spirit: she came by FAITH and MERCY. I had looked forward to carrying a child of my own for eleven years and finally she was here. I felt like sharing my testimony with everybody at the conference. I told the testimony about how I stood up in our church to testify that in nine months everyone would come and rejoice with me over the birth of my baby. On the day I said that, I was in the middle of my monthly cycle and nothing suggested that I could be pregnant, but it happened just as I testified. This particular testimony has really blessed a lot of people. Then it occurred to me that somebody may need to hear my whole story to believe God for their own miracle too. I knew I needed to write about it, hence the writing of this book.

Long walk to motherhood is about the lesson I learnt while waiting for my own children, and of the faithfulness of God even when all hope was lost. The principles in this book will work in any situation needing a miracle. I have used it in other areas of my life. One of the main reasons some people don’t get their miracles could be because they are focusing on the situation. They are constantly looking at what is seen while the Bible says in II Cor. 4:16-18 that we should stop looking at the things which are seen, but focus on what we desire - the change we want. In this book you will read how the Lord helped me to do this and about how you could do it too.
