As we already stated in the first chapter, God, who created everything in six days could have created it all in a moment but chose to take six days instead. Then He rested on the seventh day from all His work and blessed the seventh day and sanctified it because that in it He had rested from all His work which God created and made. I do not believe that God does anything without a reason or a purpose. God doesn’t do anything without knowing in advance what the end result will be. We do not serve a haphazard God but an all knowing God. Therefore, when God took six days to create the physical universe, He had a reason. Also, God does not want us ignorant of His workings. Therefore He gave us prophesies, puzzles and pictures and the bible itself and actually encourages us to investigate the hidden things in it and there are many. As I stated before, I believe that there is a reason for everything that God does or simply put, God doesn’t do anything without a reason. The rest of this book will be written on the assumption that you agree with these concepts and if you in fact do, we are in for a very thrilling and enlightened journey through some scripture interpretations that you’ve not heard before. All the deductions drawn from scripture will be looked at with the same common sense approach we talked about earlier. In the process, some things you thought were true will be dispelled as you will see that they could not possibly be true because if they were, Jesus would have lied, and of course we know He didn’t and couldn’t have and still be the son of God. Other things you will have never heard taught in your church, but remember, the bible itself teaches that you should not take anything you hear taught in your church as the truth but that you should search the scriptures to see if these things be true. Hopefully, your pastor is teaching you the truth but that doesn’t absolve you of the responsibility of searching to see for yourself. We will definitely use the scriptures but you still must search for yourself.
The bible says in two places and two places only, once in the old testament as follows: Psalms 90:4 “For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past and as a watch in the night.” and once in the new testament in II Peter 3:8 “But beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day”. Of course this could and does mean that time is of no consequence to God who made it and can stop it as he did when the sun stood still. But it also, if taken literally, could mean that God has designated each day of his creation week as a thousand years in length. This seems to be verified by the fact that the last thousand years when the Lord comes back is not only called “The day of the Lord” but that it is exactly one thousand years in length. Do you suppose then that if the last day is a thousand years long that the other six days would also be a thousand years long each? One of the purposes of this book is to show how little time remains before the Lord returns to start His thousand year reign. Of course I realize that the word says that no one will know the day or the hour and no man will, but the word also says that we will know the season or the approximate time from the signs that God told us to look for. He even chided the people that were gathered and called them hypocrites in Lu12:56 saying “Ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky and of the earth; but how is it that ye do not discern this time?” Surely God wants us to be aware of the time left so that we work that much harder knowing the time is short. The thing to remember is that God is not only on the throne but that He is in complete control of everything and that His time schedule is not early or late by one second. We cannot fathom the
complexity of a God who can make everything come out according to His plan and at the exact time it was planned and how He can make all things work together for good to those who love God. Since God spoke all creation into existence and states that He holds all things together by the power of His word, I believe that when God is finished and as the scriptures say, this old world will melt with fervent heat, (II Peter 3:10/12) I believe God will just withdraw His word and all the atoms that are now held together by His word will come apart (split) and the result will be the mightiest atomic explosion of all time and will melt this old earth with fervent heat, as the word tells us, dissolving this old physical world forever.
Again, I want to point out that God doesn’t do anything without a reason. Can you imagine a God so great as this God scratching His head and saying “Now why did I do that?” We might at times say that but God knows exactly what He is doing at all times and what the results will be. If we keep a clear picture of the God described above, it will help us see clearly the things we are about to explore. Are you ready?
