In 4 July 1960 Karmel get married with Ruslan in Butar, North Sumatra Indonesia. The biblical reference at the wedding ceremonial in the Church was taken from Gen.32:24. The pastor preached that family problems are some kind like a struggle of Jacob, or Israel. It was prophesying of the Family of Karmel’s life. God calls Karmel in the midst of severe famine in his family to leave his father land, Pansurnapitu. And he calls God for the first time or to be elected in office of an elder in Pulomas church in Jakarta in 1974, the capital city of Indonesia. Then he go to the Promised Land, receive the land from government to found a church for free. He had couped by Lot in three different settings. But he generously gave the land for Lot, his relative. In turn, Lot suffered cursed by God. For there is personal promises between God and Abraham, that “God will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you (Gen 12:1-5).” He had quarrelled with Lot, Hagar and Ishmael, Keturah and son of Medan and Midian. And Lot, Hagar and Ishmael, and Keturah and son of Medan and Midian had been excommunicated by God as his people. Karmel had tested by God for four times tests and succeeded to stay believe in God’s promises. Then he had a promised grandson as to Abraham get the promised son. He has a vision to see the lights or stars which are his descendants eventhough he had not see it, he believes and God credited him as the righteous. The story of Abraham and his descendants, the Israelites, repeated in variation and in a very tiny scale in the Gentile in Modern World. The story of the Bible; i.e: the covenant, the election, the Predestination and the calling were truth and reality. This includes the story of son of Isaac, Esau and Jacob, and the story of Jacob: the twelve tribes of Israel, and the bless of the firstborn son gave to the younger; i.e: Jacob, Judah and Joseph. And also the story of the book of Exodus, the conquering the Promised Land.

About the Book
The author tells his family’s story, with information from his parents and inspiration from the Spirit, who urged him to understand his dad’s calling, the family sufferings, his individual calling, and other family tasks. When he noticed the story’s similarities with Scripture, he was inspired by vision and dream to write it all down.
St. KP Panggabean was called by God, through his parents’ actions, to leave his fatherland, go to the Promised Land, and found a church. He was true to God and succeeded in the tests of his calling, and he finally received children and the promised grandsons. This book is intended for those who find it difficult to believe the stories in the Bible; it is intended to prove that the Bible contains true, living stories that are not just fairy tales of human invention. God exists, and he continues his work today in the lives of modern people.
About the Author
Binsar Panggabean holds a degree in mechanical engineering, and he has worked as a project engineer for more than seventeen years. He also has a master of art in biblical and theological studies from Evangelical Seminary and a master of divinity from Reformation Seminary. He gave himself to ministry from 1992–1994 as sunday school teacher and teens ministry at HKBP Depok II. He also founded a ministry for teenagers at Parachurch in Depok, Indonesia, which he ran from 1994 to 2000.
