About the Book
If you ever wanted to know what the real “age of innocence” was like for those who lived it, this is the medium for you. The world has a warped view of the South in the l950s. Double Dawg Dare Ya will indicate a different point of view. The clop clop of a horse or mule is something that I miss hearing, and I am saddened to realize that most of today’s youth will never hear that sound as a part of their everyday lives. Today, when someone passes by, the only sounds are the thumping of a ridiculous sound system or the whining speed of a Ninja cycle. Traveling speeds now preclude any interaction between neighbors; we are more concerned with getting there than making small talk with neighbors.
