Each day, all the frogs would swim and play in the pond, jumping off the lily pads and splashing all about, playing chase. Betsy wanted very much to join in the fun.
There were just two problems. First, because she was blue, she was hard to see when she was in the blue water. Second, she was so very small. The other frogs would not play with her for these reasons.
This made Betsy very sad and lonely. She wanted friends. She wished she were like all the other frogs.
Her mother told her that she was different for a reason and that she must not question why. Some day, her mother said, she would see that she was different for a purpose.

About the Book
Betsy the Blue Frog is a story about a little frog who is different from all the others in her pond. She desperately wants to fit in and be "just like everyone else." She finds out that God has a special purpose for her uniqueness and learns to be thankful that she is different after all!
About the Author
The author has been an occupational therapist for thirty-five years and a university professor for twenty years. In her spare time, she is a professional clown, performing mostly in hospitals, nursing homes, and churches. She has worked with children of all ages, both in her career as an occupational therapist and in her ministry of clowning.
