"You want to see the mountain? Yes, I can take you. It is the way I go with my goats in the morning."
Frank smiled, holding the oxen reins trying to keep to the smoothest part of the path. "Good, Jameel. Soon, okay?"
The boy nodded his head. "Do you think Dr. Seth's Jesus will help you know who you are if you go to the mountain where I found you?"
"I don't think He's Dr. Seth's… “ Frank started, then looked at Jameel. What was he, maybe… twelve… years old? Not a boy, but not a man either - though his eyes sometimes held an expression too old for his face. The boy's question had taken him a little off guard. From what he'd heard Seth say, Frank believed that Jesus must belong to everyone. He didn't feel capable of discussing it with Jameel,, although Frank knew that Jameel's father attended Seth's study each week.
Frank started over. "No, Jameel. That's not what I think. I only want to see it for myself. But I have been asking Jesus if He would help me. Who knows, maybe He will." Jameel nodded. "So, will you take your goats to the mountain in the morning?"
Jameel smiled up at Frank. "Yes, in the morning with the first light I will be at Dr. Seth's house for you. But today," he paused dramatically, "we visit the souk and I will not let them cheat you." Jameel bobbed his head up and down, smiling widely the whole time. Frank put a hand on the boy's shoulder. "I'm glad you came with me today. I have a long list."

About the Author
Pat grew up in a family with a rich military history. And, growing up in a military family, she says, is both fun and frustrating. Fun because there are always new places and new faces. New schools with new rules. And, frustrating because you are always saying goodbye to some you’re not ready to leave. It’s a challenge with its own rewards. She still loves meeting new people and seeing new places, which she does by doing mission work and being a part of the Disaster Relief Team. She currently lives in North Georgia and is an active member of her church. She is working on a new book.
