Dreams, Devotions, and Daily Prophetic Living

Today I went to see my hairstylist Nicole. I decided that I would have a mid life crisis with my hair. I wanted pink on the bottom, (hombre style) but Nicole thought it would be too damaging for my ends since I haven’t seen her in 3 months. She was on maternity leave.  So, she suggested some pink highlights. I have had purple highlights before but it was very subtle. 

Well, the pink is NOT subtle. At all! It looks like I am going through a true mid life crisis!

 But you know what I think? This is the time. While going through a divorce and almost 50. When is another time for an excuse for this pink hair? And truth be told I am actually really enjoying the pink hair, I cannot stop looking in the mirror. As a matter of fact I want to look in the mirror right now as I am writing….. I did take a picture, but I have no makeup on in the picture, soooo. Not that makeup matters. I look the same with or without it…which is kind of sad. I do not know how to apply it very well. So I wear very little. 

When I first saw my pink highlights though I admit the drasticness of it made me gasp. She almost changed it because I was so aghast! But then where is the fun in that?  Maybe it really is a mid life crisis. If so, I am going to embrace it. I am not trying to feel younger. I think I just need an escape of what is coming around the corner, the finality of my divorce.
